Education and Employment in an AI World

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing our lives in progressively important ways. This module discusses likely outcomes of current developments and implications for job-seekers, employers and educators.

The world of employment for job-seekers is likely to change dramatically in the next few decades. We consider how it might change and what type of personality is likely to survive and thrive.

There are many upcoming and compelling choices for employers in an AI world. We begin by considering how to best leverage the combination of AI and an increasingly diversified workforce and move on to look at how the survival of the fittest has become the survival of the most adaptive.

Within this context we consider how educators might better prepare their students for the new environment. We discuss concepts as varied and important as out-of-the-box, enterprise wide thinking; diverse perspectives; social media training and persuasive technology, seeing the wood for the trees and how individual entrepreneurs are turning from sharks into whales.
